Welcome to Mynydd Isa Football Club!

A Journey Since the 1930’s

In Mynydd Isa, the rich tapestry of football history unravels back to the 1930s, weaving tales of triumph and dedication. Among these stories stands Mynydd Isa FC, a senior team that graced the pitch from 1976 to 2008. Their crowning glory came when they clinched the title of Champions in the Welsh National League Premier Division, propelling them to the esteemed Tier 2 status in the Cymru Alliance.

Due to the various pressures of sustaining a club in Tier 2 at that time, they dissolved mid-season in 2008-2009. It wasn’t until 2017 that a new senior team emerged, proudly carrying the Mynydd Isa name as the Mynydd Isa Spartans. They now reside in Tier 3, rekindling the spirit of the community. This revival has opened up avenues for players, offering a seamless transition from youth football to the senior game while staying loyal to the club.

Present day

Since 2018, there has been an unparalleled surge in growth, with the club evolving into one of North Wales’ foremost grassroots organisations.

With a roster exceeding 330 players spanning from u5 to u17 age groups, the club has expanded its reach to embrace female and mixed phases of the game.

This expansion is mirrored in the Senior setup, which now encompasses u19s, reserves, a first team, as well as a ladies’ and veterans’ team.
